Antique Lighting and Antique Chandelier Restoration and Fitting is available for the trade and for private and corporate clients. We carry out restoration at premises in Fakenham. At any one time we will have five or six items of Antique lighting under repair.
Antique Chandelier Restoration
The processes of restoration for antique lights, Chandeliers or appliques can include:
- Cleaning
- Rewiring
- PAT testing
- Repairing broken glass
- Repairing and replacing missing brass parts
- Re-gilding
- Replacing broken crystals with old antique one from stock
- Remaking badly broken glass parts
Trade prices for quantity can be negotiated.
Fitting
We provide an antique chandelier fitting service for all the Antique lights we sell and indeed for other Antique lighting which may need fitting.
Bulbs, sleeves, chain and hook plates are always additional to the costs. Winches both electric and hand operated can be fitted, prices on request. We strongly advise all clients to have their antique chandeliers fitted by experts. Labour costs are £480 per day plus vat , extra man £150 per day plus vat. tower hire £50.00 plus vat. Part days can be shared with other clients if it can be arranged.
Cleaning
We provide an annual cleaning contract for any client who requests it.
Surveys.
It is usual when buying a large antique chandelier or piece of antique lighting to have the position surveyed to ensure that the fitting will be trouble free.
Collection and delivery
If your chandelier is being collected by our carriers for antique chandelier restoration please advise first if you require them to pack as this will take additional time and has to be charged for.
Antique lighting has to be carefully packaged and cannot be collected like a piece of furniture.
Deliveries of chandeliers and Antique Lighting to be fitted by others will include the cost of crating etc. All Antique lighting collections and deliveries are carried out by Steve Baldwin Carriers.
